Sanford “Sandy” Cohen has been with WKPZ since 1981. He began as an associate and became a shareholder in under six years. Every year, Sandy receives the “AV” Preeminent rating, the highest peer review by Martindale-Hubbell.

His practice focuses on business transactions with an emphasis on real estate, including all aspects of residential and commercial acquisitions, sales, leases (particularly complex long-term ground leases), easements, financing, and development. Transactions range from straightforward to highly complex, with deal sizes from hundreds of thousands to hundreds of millions of dollars. In representing clients, Sandy is known for his compassionate and affable rapport, direct accessibility, decades of experience, deal-making abilities, and prompt responsiveness.

Sandy represents a wide variety of clients including landlords, tenants, real estate investors, retailers, restaurants, banks, brokers, manufacturers, real estate developers, and real estate management companies. Many of his clients, including multiple family generations, have developed long-lasting relationships with Sandy. He maintains not only professional relationships, but friendships with his clients as well.

Happily married to Terry, with children and grandchildren in Houston, Sandy enjoys quality family time, running, other exercises, and traveling.
