WKPZ shareholder, Cory Halliburton, was recently nominated for the 2013 D.E. Box Citizen of the Year awarded by the Grapevine Chamber of Commerce. The award is designed to reward those who sincerely give of their time and leadership through an overall community development program–working together to improve the economic, civic, and cultural well-being of the Grapevine, Texas area. When not providing legal counsel to clients for WKPZ, Mr. Halliburton is an active volunteer throughout the City of Grapevine. He is an officer and volunteer for GRACE, a social service organizations, and he serves as a volunteer director on the Grapevine Chamber Board and the City of Grapevine 4B Economic Development Board. He is a frequent presenter at local elementary schools. His countless hours of volunteering and being a difference maker in the lives of others throughout the Northeast Tarrant County area is the hallmark of his nomination for this award. Earlier in 2013, Mr. Halliburton was the recipient of the Outstanding Young Lawyer Award from the Fort Worth-Tarrant County Young Lawyers Association, an award earned for exemplified professional proficiency, service to the profession, and service to the community. WKPZ gladly recognizes Mr. Halliburton for these community achievements.
