Estate Planning Opportunities in the Current Economy

WKPZ Shareholder Paul Strug recently gave a series of presentation focusing on Estate Planning opportunities in the current economy. An example of such an opportunity is an Estate Freeze technique, which can allow a client to take advantage of stocks and other assets that have lost 30-50% of their value, and transfer those assets into a trust for children. This results in the appreciation growing outside of the client's estate, while at the same time minimizing the taxable gift to the children.

Tanya Garrison successfully defended and received a full dismissal of a an employee's claim for workplace injuries, medical costs, lost wages, and exemplary damages. An employee fell through the roof of his restaurant employer's attic while he was allegedly retrieving some stored aprons.
