Recent "Speaker's Circuit" of WKPZ Attorney, Cory Halliburton
WKPZ attorney, Cory Halliburton, recently traveled the State of Texas for presentations to three distinguished groups. On February 21, 2018, he provided an Ethics in Nonprofit Organizations Law and Business seminar to the Nonprofit Study Group in Dallas, Texas.
The presentation tied the Professional Rules of Conduct for attorneys with common law and statutory fiduciary duty requirements in the nonprofit organizations sector. The Nonprofit Study Group consists of attorneys, accountants and executives in the tax-exempt organizations industry who meet regularly in Dallas for on-going education in areas of law, tax and business.
From Dallas, Mr. Halliburton traveled to San Antonio, Texas where, on February 22nd, he provided a Leadership & Governance training seminary to the Board of Directors and executive staff of The Village of Incarnate Word, a nonprofit corporation established by the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word of San Antonio. The focus of the presentation was organizational and board governance.
To close Mr. Halliburton's "speaker's circuit", on February 23rd he presented to the Wolves of Cross Timbers Middle School as part of its Career Day program.
