Mr. Corsaut’s practice includes the representation of both plaintiffs and defendants in labor and employment disputes as well as commercial litigation.
Mr. Corsaut routinely defends private employers from complaints of unlawful harassment, discrimination, and retaliation before the Texas Workforce and Equal Employment Opportunity Commissions. Additionally, he has successfully defended cases involving claims under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, Title VII, Chapter 21 of the Texas Labor Code, and other statutory and common law causes of action. He also represents private entities and executives in lawsuits involving, among other issues, consumer claims, contract disputes, fraud, landlord/tenant matters, and trade secret misappropriation.
Mr. Corsaut consults with clients to develop proactive and preventive practices to avoid the courthouse. He enjoys pre-litigation strategies and negotiations, and he has successfully settled numerous matters prior to any court involvement.
When litigation arises, Mr. Corsaut enjoys zealously representing clients inside and outside the courtroom. He has extensive experience in all stages of a lawsuit, including, but not limited to, drafting pleadings, arguing in motion hearings, deposing witnesses, managing extensive document collection and other discovery efforts, negotiating settlements, and working on appeals.
In addition to his work with corporate clients, Mr. Corsaut often provides pro bono probate
services to program participants as an active volunteer with the Houston Volunteer Lawyers.
