Ms. Gutierrez’s practice is devoted primarily to employment law matters and civil litigation.
She works closely with clients to establish strong and positive employment policies, evaluate clients’ current procedures for potential workplace issues, and quickly address current employment-related concerns such as EEOC and state agency claims of discrimination, Department of Labor and state agency wage and hour claims, immigration compliance, as well as general complaints of unfair treatment. She also assists employers with planning for employee hiring, reprimands, terminations and layoffs. She believes in making herself accessible to clients for day-to-day employment problems and enjoys developing strong relationships with clients based upon trust and communication.
Ms. Gutierrez has experience in drafting employment, severance, non-competition, non-solicitation, and other employment related agreements. She also assists with employment related litigation.
She also represents client’s interests in commercial and employment related litigation in both state and federal court.
From February 2008 through graduation Ms. Gutierrez clerked for Levine & Associates, P.C. and in November 2010 Ms. Gutierrez was admitted to the Texas Bar and joined as an associate. In April 2011, Ms. Gutierrez joined Weycer, Kaplan, Pulaski, & Zuber, P.C.
Secured the dismissal of state and federal employment discrimination related administrative claims.
Aided clients with the successful collection of outstanding debts.
Assisted employer clients with Department of Labor audits and Department of Homeland Security inspections.
