Tanya Garrison successfully defended and received a full dismissal of a an employee's claim for workplace injuries, medical costs, lost wages, and exemplary damages. An employee fell through the roof of his restaurant employer's attic while he was allegedly retrieving some stored aprons. Ms. Garrison was successful in proving that, in fact, the employee was attempting to steal liquor, and thus acting outside of his scope of employment. This relieved the employer of any and all liability and resulted in the case's dismissal.
